Special mornings consist of Reece and I bike riding through our adorable little beach town, looking at all the houses, chatting, and just enjoying each others company. It’s more likely than not at some point in time I’ll spot something I find interesting or fabulous and want to turn around a take a picture of it. I wasn’t exactly prepared to do a photoshoot on this particular morning however, when passing by this super rad VW Bus I instantly did a U-Turn and begged for my picture to be taken!

It’s so awesome to have a husband who’s always on the same page! Anyway, we stopped to take pictures and just as we were leaving a man asks if we’d like to see the inside .. uh, yea! And so he showed us all this VW Bus has to offer, told us stories of where its been (Recently Baja California) and how it’s been restored, even being featured on the cover of a well established California magazine! I think what I loved most about this meeting was seeing the joy and pride the owner has for his VW. It’s lovely to hear and as he told us these stories while I stared at this beauty I could only imagine the wild times he’s had traveling and living out of that bus. This man was older but his heart was so young. While standing in from of the apartment building he owns he said to Reece and I before we left, ” VW Buses keep me young, maybe one day when I grow up I’ll live in a house like a normal person, but until then I’m gonna keep hittin’ the road.” … And I just loved that ❤
