I just love the weekends. Even more so now that my Beardo (Reece) is working 4-10’s and has every Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday off! It really gives us the opportunity to connect and spend some alone time together. More often than not we find ourselves exploring this beautiful city and all it has to offer. When we lived in Missouri it was difficult to get motivated enough to do things outdoors. The weather is bipolar and we really would only have a couple of months out of the whole year to enjoy it. It wouldn’t be unheard of for us to stay in the house all weekend watching tv and not doing shit. Now that we live in the most beautiful weather, it’s like we almost feel guilty to be indoors when the sunshine is calling our name!

Sometimes we enjoy driving up the 5 to Encinitas just to drive back down to see all the beauty the coast has to offer. On this particular day we decided to stop at Torrey Pines National State Park and go hiking. It’s now my favorite spot! The views of the ocean are amazing and while it’s a great workout it’s definitely not too challenging. I think from beginning to end was about 3.5 – 4 miles, which I know is kinda long but definitely doable. There’s great spots to take pictures including several trails leading to lookout points. If you’re ever searching for a good place to hike in San Diego I don’t think you’d be disappointed with this one! Oh, I also want to add, we saw people of all ages enjoying this hike and that in itself was a beautiful view ❤
