Happy Hump Day, friends!! I decided to take advantage of this warmer weather to share this dress I snagged on sale at Urban outfitters. I fell in love with it in the spring but my size wasn’t in stock and while usually I’ll then order it online, another dress quickly caught my attention and sadly this little number was forgotten 😦 Then the other day I was browsing through the UO website and there it was, for $19.99!!! Clearly it was meant to be and so I purchased … and now I’m sharing not only a similar dress but also the link to browse ALL their dresses on sale here . ❤

Daannngggg, San Diego!! A hundred degrees … I’m not even mad about it. It is a little hard to show off fall fashion and in that way it’s not the most ideal temps but I’ll take it over cold and rainy any day! We live less than a mile from the beach, so our house doesn’t have air-conditioning because it’s unusual for it to get this hot. The ocean breeze typically keeps it nice around here but on a day like today, all you can do is stay as close to the water as possible! So I finished my workout, emails, etc and headed to the beach! What’s everyone else doing to stay cool? Let’s chat about it ❤
My family and I stopped in the cutest little town in Colorado on our way home from Boulder last weekend! The temps were cool which gave me the perfect excuse to pull out my poncho, as if I need one! Cozy set the tone for this day and I don’t believe you can get any cozier than this super comfortable turtleneck from Billabong, paired with leggings. The boots and bag dress up and otherwise super casual look ❤
“I’ve learned that seeking is sometimes simply touching the land that calls you. Returning to places that feed you.Knowing the homes where you’re carried and full of life. The ground that breathes your truths. We all have them. We all know them.” – Victoria Erickson ❤
Last weekend my husband, our youngest son Kane, and I took a little drive through the desert on our way to watch my oldest son play football in Yuma, AZ. On our way we decided to take a slight detour and ended up at Salvation Mountain! I’ve seen pictures of this place on Pinterest and other social media throughout recent years so I was excited to actually see it in person!
My first reaction was wow! The creativity and bright colors were beautiful and amazing. And as I walked around and really took in the art, I realized, this took some serious time and dedication. I myself, am not religious, far more spiritual than anything and while Leonard Knight’s artistic abilities are fascinating, to me, they’re also bizarre. I can’t really wrap my mind around this situation so I just decided not to. It’s really not for me to judge and I do believe everyone should express who they are in almost any way they can. Mr. Knight’s way is not only a visual beauty but clearly made with love and who doesn’t love, love? If you’re ever in the area, this stunning work of art is a must and a photographers dream come true. ❤
