Happy Friday, guys! So, while I was visiting MO last weekend I packed several winter outfits, mostly coats thinking I’d take advantage of the cold weather and finally be able to post some actual winter content for you, well that didn’t happen. I found myself staying warm indoors as much as possible, only freezing my ass off once to take pics, as you might have read in my previous post. So now that I’m back home (San Diego) I’m going to do whatever it takes to still bring you that cold weather content, even if it means wearing a coat and scarf in 75 degree temps 🙂

Basically, everything in the outfit is old (besides the scarf, thanks Jess!) and I love it. The coat I bought on sale at H&M a few years ago, the boots (Timberland) I scored at Goodwill a few weeks ago (for $5.99!)  and the bag is a discontinued Marc by Marc Jacobs bag I also bought at Goodwill! But what I love about this look is that every piece is classic and not necessarily trendy. You’ll always be able to find a long gray coat no matter the decade, as well as brown leather ankle boots and a black crossbody bag. Being stylish doesn’t necessarily mean being trendy and when you take classic, random items from your closet and throw them together, magic happens. You don’t have to have tons of money and carry the newest $2,500 GUCCI bag to have style. Don’t get me wrong, I love those bags too! But labels don’t define the way I dress and they never will. When I wear a label it’s out of pure love for the art of the designer and the brand not the “look what I’m wearing, look how much money I have” shit (puke). Anything I buy that’s considered expensive has been strategically planned, probably researched, contemplated, and saved for! I have four kids, 3 in college, I don’t know how to live any other way! Basically, the moral of this rambled on story is to be yourself when dressing yourself! Style comes in all forms whether you’re a Label Lover or a Goodwill Shopper or Both (like me), dress for YOU, not for others ❤

P.S. Because some of these items are older and I can’t find exact links for them, I’ve attach dupes for your shopping needs ❤

Heellllooooo, Friday!!! It’s been one hell of a long week (actually two weeks) and I’m ready for a night on the town! If you’re looking for some date night outfit inspiration, look no further! I bought this fringe skirt last year from H&M and as usual I’m just now getting around to wearing it. However, any black skirt would work with this look. As you know, I love statement pieces so a skirt with some texture and character is always a bonus! I love the pairing of a basic t-shirt and knotting it on the side which also adds some detail but in a simple way. I’m attaching some links below for similar options to create an outfit similar to this one ❤

So, I’ve probably been wearing these cargo pants a little too often lately, but what can I say? … they go with everything! I was totally feeling them a few days ago with an all black ensemble and a touch of fur, which is really a scarf I draped over my bag to give the look some texture. Wearing it as a scarf with the leather jacket is a good look too, but this San Diego weather isn’t going to let that happen anytime soon … and for real, I’m not even mad about it ❤

I’m enjoying every last moment of these high temps by mixing summer cami’s with fall bottoms and accessories! The all black look and a pop of color has been a long time favorite of mine and if temps were cooler I’d throw a black leather jacket on to complete this outfit. I also love this look for date nights as it’s both flirty and sexy, perfect for Friday night drinks downtown! ❤
