OMG, can we all just stop for a moment to acknowledge how effing dreamy this hotel is?!!! I had been wanting to visit the Ace Hotel in Palms Springs for a while now after coming across it online when searching for places for a weekend getaway with my Beardo. It wasn’t until Lexie and I decided to visit PS for a girls getaway that we finally decided to check it out by having lunch and walking the grounds. A simple, neutral color palette really allows the woodwork to stand out which is the style I go for in my own home. The grounds were saturated with amazing nooks with couches, chairs, and lounging areas with fireplaces … absolutely stunning! ❤

My dress is by Urban Outfitters and is by far one of my favorites for these warmer days! I’m all about comfort lately and this dress is nothing short of that!

Ahh, spring is right around the corner and I’m excited for all the new (and old) fashion trends! Right now the weather is still a little chilly here in San Diego so wearing a light weight denim jacket is almost a must! I’m lucky enough to have an amazing, talented mom who hooked me up with a sweet branding on my thrift store BCBG find! Seriously, she’s the best ❤

Obviously, my Lack Of Colors hat isn’t going anywhere but on my head for the upcoming warmer months. This beaut literally goes with every. single. thing. in my closet and I’m excited for all the pairings that’s going to be happening with my spring wardrobe ❤

The palm earrings, a total statement piece and outfit game changer …. enough said ❤

I scored these super retro DVF sunnies at Nordstrom Rack a couple of weeks ago and haven’t taken them off since. You’ll being seeing a lot of these in the upcoming months. Sorry, not sorry ❤

The bag, the infamous IT bag for the past couple of years doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon! I L.O.V.E. this bag. So here’s my story about it … Way hard to get a hold of one with usually a waiting list of at least 6 months, but if you’re lucky you can find them here and there on a few resale sights. You can now buy it from the link I’m providing below  … I found mine on eBay which is basically my go to when things I love have been discontinued or sold out. The brand you’re seeing every blogger carry is Cult Gaia. I love this brand for their retro, beachy, boho style but, mine is not. Mine is a true vintage bag which of course, you know me, makes me heart it even more ❤

Happy Monday, guys! (although to me it feels like Sunday). Anyway, I’ve been thinking lately about how far I’ve come with my blogging. I remember a few years ago, actually like 7, when I started an Interior Styling blog called Revamped By Me. The blog focused mainly on DIY projects, usually centered around paint since my husband and I own a painting company and I had somewhat of a background in interior styling. Unfortunately, that blog was short lived since I’m a mom of four, business owner, etc and it was a challenge to actually complete a damn project! But of course, getting dressed isn’t. Fashion’s always been my first love and design my second, so I thought why not post about all the things I love with my main focus being fashion and that’s when Live By Ronni was born … and then it wasn’t. This was around 4 years ago and as soon as I bought the website I instantly felt embarrassed. I feared I was going to be judged even though anyone who knows me wouldn’t be surprised by it. Never the less I gave in to my fears and put it on hold for like a whole year 😦 However, throughout that time the ambition never went away. I was always trying to find someone to help me build a website and teach me how to edit photos, eventually I said fuck it, what am I really waiting for? and I figured it out myself! I realized that I was wasting time, not because I needed someone to “teach” me how to do things but because I was worried of what “everyone” would say or think of me. Even up until I moved to San Diego I worried each time I took photos that I would run into someone I know and they would think I was too old, vain, or conceded. I started figuring out quickly that I simply don’t care what others think, I can’t let my insecurities get the best of me, this journey was for me. ❤

Now, don’t get me wrong, I know those people are out there. The one’s I never hear from but I’m sure are reading every post, in some way judging how or what I’m writing and that’s ok, also, none of my business. I guess all I want is to enjoy something that’s truly my own and to inspire others to follow their dreams no matter what others think! Live By Ronni is something from my creative mind and thus far has been an absolute pleasure to work on. ❤

“Do something you really like and hopefully it pays the rent. As far as I’m concerned, that’s success.” – Tom Petty ❤

Last weekend my husband, our youngest son Kane, and I took a little drive through the desert on our way to watch my oldest son play football in Yuma, AZ. On our way we decided to take a slight detour and ended up at Salvation Mountain! I’ve seen pictures of this place on Pinterest and other social media throughout recent years so I was excited to actually see it in person!

My first reaction was wow! The creativity and bright colors were beautiful and amazing. And as I walked around and really took in the art, I realized, this took some serious time and dedication. I myself, am not religious, far more spiritual than anything and while Leonard Knight’s artistic abilities are fascinating, to me, they’re also bizarre. I can’t really wrap my mind around this situation so I just decided not to. It’s really not for me to judge and I do believe everyone should express who they are in almost any way they can. Mr. Knight’s way is not only a visual beauty but clearly made with love and who doesn’t love, love? If you’re ever in the area,  this stunning work of art is a must and a photographers dream come true. ❤

Ok, I know it’s fall but it’s 80 degrees outside and I have tons of tops I still want to wear and share! So to make this look not too summery I paired it with jeans and close toed loafers. What can I say, this is me transitioning to fall fashion ❤

One morning she woke up different. Done with trying to figure out who was with her, against her, or walking down the middle because they didn’t have the guts to pick a side. She was done with anything that didn’t bring her peace. She realized opinions were a dime a dozen, validation was for parking, and loyalty wasn’t a word, but a lifestyle. It was on this day her life changed. Not for a man, or a job, but because she realized life is way too short to leave the key to your happiness in someone else’s pocket.   – unknown

I’m obsessed with this casually thrown together look! Half – tucked, button down shirts are always chic, especially when they’re denim. I love the worn out look paired with dark jeans and chunky heels and of course a statement bag always completes the outfit! This look is the perfect example of utilizing the basics from your closet and making them work ❤
