Saturday was a good day to hang at Ocean Beach, watch some surfing, drink a couple margarita’s, and people watch! The weather was amazing and the beach was packed due to the Revolve Surf Series that was going on. O.B. is super cool. Kinda retro, a little hippie-ish and totally laid back … all perfect vibes for a sunny weekend ❤
Here I’m wearing my Vintage Levi 501’s I scored at a garage sale a few months ago and this adorable off the shoulder top from Cotton On, plus another new vintage item I recently added to my wardrobe, a Moschino Fanny Pack!! I was gifted this for my birthday a couple months ago and I’m so in love with it! I’ll be featuring it more and more in upcoming posts! ❤
So, you’ve heard how I like to spend my weekends, how do you like to spend yours?? ❤
First thing’s first, I MUST talk about these jeans! Last weekend the hubby and I decided to drive up to North County San Diego and do a little, or a lot, of garage sale-ing. With getting our new house together I’m always on the hunt for furniture pieces I can revamp and use with my decor. If I’m really lucky, I’ll come across some sweet vintage threads to add to my closet or resell on eBay. Fortunately for me, last Saturday was one of those days! I scored 5 pairs of vintage denim, 3 Levi’s, 1 Banana Republic, and 1 LC. All from the late 70’s, early 80’s, and genuinely worn the hell out of! A few will be sold on my eBay account and a couple of pairs are going to my daughters, but the pair I’m wearing above are definitely staying with me ❤
Summer, can you hear me?? … I’m waiting …. While I’m super excited for the warm up we’re about to have here in San Diego over the next couple of days, my soul is seriously longing for summer! That time of year when all day beach lounging turns into sunset watching. When summer nights seem endless and you look forward to the next day just to enjoy the beautiful Southern California weather again and again.
I’ve always loved summer and enjoy it even more now thanks to our relocation from the MidWest! No doubt, cutoff shorts and a hat to shade my face will be an everyday staple. These vintage Levi’s are my favorite and have been featured on LBR many, many times. I found them back in MO at Muse Clothing in Columbia, if you’re into vintage, this store is a must see. The hat was bought at a cute little shop in La Jolla! I can’t remember the name but will attach a few options below. And of course the Coach Dinky (my newest collab) goes with me everywhere. You can also find it below. What’s your favorite summer staples? And what do you look forward to during the summer season?
Just a quick post today! I spent yesterday in Pacific Beach, with my daughter Drue, doing a little shopping and on a whim scored this sweater on sale from Urban Outfitters ($20)! Seriously, the softest sweater (next to cashmere) that has ever touched my skin. Super soft + super baggy = super cozy. I think I’ll wear it forever ❤
Just because the holiday festivities are over doesn’t mean we have to put our sparkle away! I always love mixing textures like in the pic above. Switching out dress pants for denim cutoffs allows the sequins to be more casual but at the same time a statement piece and who doesn’t love that! The suede clutch is an older Rebecca Minkoff bag but I still adore it and feel it works perfectly with this look. The Betsey Johnson heels are new and I pretty much look for any excuse to wear them out for a night on the town!
How do you feel about dressy tops and cutoffs? Yay or nay??
Well that was one hell of a long hiatus! In case you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, the past 5 months have been the absolute craziest of my life! While I’ve been preparing for my move to Southern California for years, the last months leading up Continue reading →
