Valentine’s Day is only three days away!! Unlike most bloggers who are posting V-Day inspired outfits and gift guides for your significant other, I’m not. I know, I know, maybe that makes me lame and maybe some of you are wondering what my Beardo and I do for lovers day and probably most of you could give a shit less, but I’m going to give you my two cents on how I feel about this day and what it means to my relationship.

For starters, I think it’s important to start this little convo by saying that I’m madly in love with my husband and have been since the moment we met. Ok, well that’s kinda stretching it lol I’ve been in love with him since the moment I realized his persistency was not going to stop anytime soon and I should give him a shot. It took like two seconds and I was deeply in love with the man of my dreams ❤ I think it’s also important to say that we’ve been together now for 13 years (married for almost 8) which I believe puts us in OG status 🙂 Annnyyyyywaaayyyy, I loooovvvvve Valentines Day! But what I love most about it, is the cheesiness. I could care less about over the top dates and extravagant gifts. I’m perfectly happy with all gifts being purchased at Wal-Mart. Seriously! Chocolates, stuffed animals, cards, candy, I’m good with all that! Surprised? You shouldn’t be. Honestly, I think it’s because my Beardo makes me feel loved everyday! Today I woke up to breakfast made, topped with a white rose on my plate. Twice this week, I woke up to love letters, one in our kitchen and the other in my MacBook when I opened it. He is a true romantic and I adore every bit of him. Whether we’re dining at a nice restaurant or eating pizza on the beach this Valentines Day, the feeling will always be the same … grateful. I remember times when I wished for a man just like YOU (I know you’re reading this) and I will never take you for granted, you’re yummy in every way I’ve ever imagined. ❤

Dream Of Californication.

Forever I had dreamed of spending afternoons like this. Walking by the ocean, smelling the salt, feeling the sun on my face as the breeze whips my hair around. I won’t say I never thought it was possible, because I always knew it was. No matter where I was in life, no matter where I was living, I always longed for California. Having spent my early years of life in Ventura I knew what I was missing out on. Daydreaming of a life I craved, all a long knowing others were taking theirs for granted. There was a fifteen year time span where I didn’t see the ocean and when I finally did, it wasn’t the Pacific. All oceans are wonderous, mysterious, and wild, but it was the Pacific that stole my heart and it wasn’t until I moved here that I finally got it back. ❤

Happy Monday, loves! I’m soooo looking forward to the beautiful week of weather we have ahead of us here in San Diego. Mid to high 70’s with sunshine everyday has me day dreaming of hours spent on the beach and all the summer outfits I can pull together from my closet!

The shorts I’m wearing above was purchased at Marshall’s a couple years ago, so sadly they’re no longer available. However, I’ll link a couple different options for you below. You’ve heard me talk about it before, but I just love all the cute little off-the-shoulder tops that pretty much every store/brand is carrying. For me, a true summer look consists of crisp whites and a pop of color here and there. I also like to neutralize it some with leather sandals and a few natural elements like the straw tote and hat. Bringing texture to the look is always a plus! ❤

Shorts: Michael Kors or H&M or Jade / Top: Forever 21 /  Bag: Merona (Target) / Hat: Gladys Tamez (similar) or Eugenia Kim (similar)

Sweater Weather.

Leaves are falling, temps are dropping and it’s times like this when nothing feels better than a sweater. While a long cardigan is what I usually grab to wrap around myself, I’m currently loving all the loose, flowy sweaters found at H&M. Here I’m wearing a semi-turtleneck, baggy and forgiving. Easy for on the go …

Jacket Weather … Finally!

Ahh, jacket weather, my favorite time of year …. when you can throw on a jacket on the go and instantly feel chic! Here I’m wearing an Army Jacket purchased from H&M. If you don’t already own one, what are you waiting for?! (links to purchase below)!! They’re so versatile and can easily transition from day to evening. Pair it with flats for daytime errands or dress it up with heels, like I did below. Here I paired mine with my Steve Madden heels (so comfortable btw) and a cute little cross body/clutch. Loads of gold rings dresses this jacket up and makes the outfit complete!
